Can we talk about how Emily VanCamp understands her character? The writers wanted her to have a new love interest this season, but she said no because that didn’t made any sense with Aiden’s death still fresh in her mind - you don’t forget the love of your life and jumps straight into another one like it was nothing.
Emily understood that the writers wanted her character to move on, but after three years portraying Amanda/Emily she knows that is not how her character operates, she won’t let go of Aiden that easily (because if Emily Thorne can do something, is to hold to strong emotions for a long, long time).
Not only that but the whole ordeal with David’s “ressurrection” made her question Emily’s decisions during the entire show, like it was all for nothing.
I just love that she has put her foot down and pointed some nosense stuff that the writers wanted to do and said that was not her character. I wish more actors were like her.
